Hello, I'm Julie, founder of Poppylox. I started sewing when i was 14 and continued working in clothing factories for some years. After children I found myself in Germany, working as a tailoress for the British Army which I loved, but all good things come to an end, So I was now back in UK, working in the TV & Film business driving articulated trucks and looking after cast and crew, my spare time being taken up making dolls & bears for anyone I thought deserved them.
I set up this site to showcase just some of the unique handmade memory bears I have made. I make these bespoke bears for all occasions, such as in memory of a loved one, an anniversary or birthday gift, or for any other occasion.
Every one of them is made with love, care and attention to detail.
Over the next few weeks, I will be adding other handcrafted items, such as rag dolls, Polly Dolly Doo Dah dolls, dolls clothing and accessories.
